Castiadas South Sardinia

Castiadas is a seaside town in South-eastern Sardinia, nestled between the Sette Fratelli mountain park and the coast.  Its 13km long shoreline is dotted with some of the best beaches of the Southern Coast, such as Cala Pira and Cala Sinzias.
The mountains around Castiadas (the name means lookout in Sardinian) are also a great tourist attraction, where recreational and sporting activities (such as free climbing) can bring you to enjoy the breathtaking views from the granitic lookouts that gave Castiadas its name. Freshwater sources and rivers add to the attraction of this land, which is enjoyable in every season.

From the main town of Cagliari, the drive to Castiadas presently takes under one hour, but will be shortened to 30 minutes by 2010, when the new road connecting Castiadas to Solanas will be extended all the way to the city.
